Have you tried different foot techniques, but none of them really got you the expected results?

Learning a new technique can be difficult - that's why we focus on developing each motion by constant repetition.
Internalizing the right motion through constant repetition is the key to success.
Are you still looking for the results you want, after watching countless YouTube Videos and Drum DVDs?

Bass Drum Mastery focuses on the most productive way of getting better: Deliberate Practice. Every necessary movement will be developed by constant repetition, which helps you to store the right technique in your muscle memory.

"The Top 7 Double-Bass
Drumming Frustrations"
1) You've been practicing for years but still don't get past 140 bpm.
2) You lose balance once you start playing with both feet.
3) You can't control your calf-muscles and all you get as a result is a nervous twitching motion of your foot .
4) You're stuck at 200 bpm for some time now and don't seem to be able to play any faster.
5) You are able to play up to 230 bpm, but only for a couple of hits.
6) You tried different techniques (e.g. heel toe & swivel) but none of those seemed to work for you .
7) If you have a „bad“ day, you can't play consistent, tight double-bass at all.
Want the solution to the above
mentioned frustrations?
Alright here we go:
1) You don't have enough stamina and control with your
hip-flexor muscles. Do you know how easy it is to train them? (and you can do this on the floor- you don't even need a bass drum pedal).
2) You have to develop and strengthen your core! One simple exercise will fix that problem for life.
3) Your calf muscles have to be trained to a point, were you are able to follow the beater swing, get out of the way of the returning beater and contract your calves again exactly at the right moment.
4) You haven't learned how to use the tension & relaxation principle (YET).
5) You need to incorporate your quadriceps to be able to play at that speed → and that's easier than you think.
6) Changing techniques on a regular basis does nothing but mess with your muscle control and this way you will never benefit from your strongest ally → muscle memory!
7) A solid foundation (muscle-development) + storing the right motions to your muscle memory will fix that problem for life.

About Marthyn
Born in Carinthia/Austria in April 1986, Marthyn got his first snare drum at the age of 10 and started playing in a marching band right away. It was not until the age of 18 when he started to rehearse seriously and joined a local metal band. Later on in 2009, after only 4 years of consistent drum kit practice, he joined the Austrian metal line-up BELPHEGOR as their new session drummer.
From 2009 till 2015 he played several world tours with Belphegor which included tours in Europe, USA, Canada, Brasil, Mexico, Russia, India, Indonesia, China and Japan.
During this 6 year period he also worked as a session drummer for several other bands like Infestus, GodHateCode, Mondstille, Amongst the Deceit, Stormnatt etc…
His work with Belphegor includes the albums „Blood Magick Necromance“ in 2011 and „Conjuring the Dead“ in 2014.

Besides his busy touring and recording schedule he began studying drums at the VIENNA MUSIC INSTITUTE in fall 2011, where he graduated with honours on July 1st 2015.
After his time with Belphegor he took a step back from live drumming and focused completely on teaching drums. His first video series „SINGLE STROKE MASTERY - Your journey to 300 bpm“ was released in February 2016.

His second video package "BASS DRUM MASTERY - 9 weeks to control, power and speed" was released in August 2017. Within 4 weeks more than 700 students started to improve their bass-drum skills with this new found way of teaching.

Marthyn is endorsed by Meinl Cymbals, Tama Drums, Pro Mark Sticks and Evans Drumheads.
